Dragonslash + FGJ + Save Yourselves is often the argument in favor of Swords. You can also add Brawling Headbutt and DS for a 20 second knocklock.

But be it PvP or PvE, Axes offer unconditional Deep Wounds and high critical damage plus 3 great AoE attacks. Leave SY to a Paragon and just axe them!

No, other way around is the win/win.

The only thing that makes swords > axes in PvE is Dragon Slash and PvE skills. Remove Dragon Slash and PvE skills from the game, and axes > swords by a mile.
Heroes suck at Dragon Slash (relative to human players) and can't use PvE skills. Therefore, for heroes, axes > swords.

The best build for warrior heroes is a simple Triple Chop + Dismember axe build, while you yourself run a DS sword build.

I run all dependant on mood setting (pve/pvp) team needs etc. No preferences I like them all equally.

Lately I have been playing Earthshaker in PvE, RA and HA and busting everything in front of me. So you can bore yourself to death with FGJ Dragonslash in PvE or you can do things different and still blow things up just as fast while offering shutdown and a place for caster damage to gather.

90% of the time I use hammer. In PVE, earthshaker + splinter weapon = epic pwnage, that or enraged spirit and do 90 per second. In AB dev hammer ftw =)

Im trying out hammer at the moment. Here is what i have, from what ive seen its unique from others, but mind you i havent played since the game came out almost until a few days ago.

I use flourish (elite), what it does is recharges all your skills and for each skill on cooldown provides a given amount of energy depending on str, 7 for each at 14.

In addition, Power attack, irresistable blow, crushing blow, berserker's stance, and mighty blow...

How you do this is start off with ber stance to build up adrenaline, then use irresistable blow followed by power attack. then use flourish recharging power attack and irresistable blow, also giving you back 14 energy. Then i use a Crushing blow, irresistable blow, power attack line, finished off by flourish. Again refreshing all your cool downs and giving you this time 21 energy, although youll only get the 20.

Basicaly I never don't have energy to perform an attack. Its a straight non-stop string off attacks if timed properly. Oh and toss in mighty blow when its up.

for the other two i have a counter blow, belly smash combo in case im being attacked and get the chance to blind adjecent opponents.

I didnt come up with this all on my own its a mixture of builds i saw here and there. Feed back would be awesome, like i said i just came back after 2 years and might have no clue what im doing here.

Eviscerate
Body Blow/Executioner's
D-Chop
Bull's Strike
Shock/Rend Touch
Frenzy
Rush

or Hammer, but I miss pumping out more damage since you can't really use Flail at will like Frenzy.
Sword comes in behind those. D-Slash Bar is crowded. Cripslash doesn't seem as great as Bull's Evisce Exe/BB.

I prefer swords for no particular reason other than they look cool and with the right build are close enough to axes in terms of efficiency.

However if you want to be a good warrior, you need to be able to spec into any of the three depending on your situation. For example if you are PvPing with 2 warriors, one of them should consider going hammer with the other going sword or axe.

I don't really use my warrior in pve anymore, hence my swords are collecting dust.
I prefer hammer warrior. Knocklock chains are devastating. However, you give up some spiking power because of the slow attack rate imo.
If the team isn't running a hammer war then I prefer the classic shock/ax.
Shock/Ax = spike power + pressure
Hammer = Knock locks + decent spike power
this is pvp only though, like I said, I don't really pve on my warrior anymore. If I did it would probably have to be GodMode or TripleChop with a rit behind me spamming Splinter Weapon.

quite a few PvE foes have this imba ability to not get KD'd... pretty much owns a hammer warrior.

I love hammers, especially my Tormented Maul. Going Backbreaker -> Mighty -> Hammer Bash -> Crushing Blow is just awesome
